Farmer’s Market

I recently went to our summer farmer’s market and picked up a massive punnet of locally grown cherries and cherry juice. ¬†What better to do with them than to make cakes (other than eat them!).

So I made cherry cupcakes which incorporated the fresh cherries and the juice into the sponge. These went to work and were all eaten in the space of a day.

So fragrant

With the leftover cherry syrup I made a mini cherry upside down sponge.

Vanilla-Cherry Cupcakes

Just simple vanilla sponge cakes with a morello cherry filling inside. Iced with cream cheese and Wilton sparkle gel. I found the sparkle gel in Julian Graves so I couldn’t resist trying it out.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

A fondant Pyramid Head

Some lovely red velvet cupcakes with a Silent Hill theme. Pyramid Head is completely edible (and delicious)  apart from his foil helmet.

All My Cthulhu’s In A Row

Aren't they cute?

Some delicious vanilla and chocolate layered cupcakes. Made with a Cthulhu theme especially for one of my friends. The more you eat of it the darker the inside gets.

A close up

Cherry Delight

Mmm, Skulls

Ginger cupcakes with chewy bursting skulls on top.
